HKCRA CELEBRATES LANDMARK ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER
The Hong Kong Concrete Repair Association (HKCRA) on 5 June held its 2009 HKCRA Annual Awards Dinner held at Happy Valley Racecourse attended by members and industry counterparts. The 2009 event also celebrated the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the HKCRA and Hong Kong Concrete Institute (HKCI).
HKCI representatives in attendance at the 2009 HKCRA Annual Awards Dinner included HKCI President Professor Albert Kwan, HKCI Vice President (Administration) Ir. C. K. Cheung and HKCI Board Members Dr. Tommy Lo and Dr. Y. L. Wong.

It’s all about the next generation!

The soon to be opened Hong Kong Centre for Youth Development (HKCYD) is the result of the Government of the HKSAR’s desire to create a focal point for territory-wide youth development activities in Hong Kong.
In year 2000 the Home Affairs Bureau and the Hong Kong Institute of Architects held an international design competition which sought to project an image for the young generation whilst developing a centre which would stimulate the innate creativity of developing minds. The competition was won by four young architects who then formed a new company to see the project through its development.

Tak King Industrial Building is a 24 storey industrial building in Chai Wan, Hong Kong. The ground floor car park is extremely busy every day with cargo vehicles entering to load and unload goods. Because of the high traffic volumes the coating system needed for the car park and access ramps has to be suitable for heavy goods vehicle traffic and also provide a slip resistant finish. Ronacrete supplied their High Performance Polyurethane Coating - Ronabond PU 500 - which is an extremely durable polyurethane coating formulated to provide chemical, UV, heat and abrasion resistance. Ronabond PU 500 is also much easier to clean and maintain than ordinary concrete finishes. Job done!

Ronacrete (Far East) Limited was recently a recipient of the prestigious HKCRA Awards for Excellence in Concrete Repair 2008 for concrete repairs as applied to the 30-year old Stanley Knoll estate located in Hong Kong’s upmarket leafy, seaside district of Stanley, located on the southern side of Hong Kong island.
